It wasn't too bad, the hours are ok. The school year starts in August when the weather is very hot, but the school has a reasonable amount of resources and will hire you if you have no IB training and send you to be trained up in it. This is good as it then means you can work in any IB school.
On the basis of the above though, I can't recommend it due to management issues.

EDIT: I misread the post originally and my reply refers to Xiamen International School (XIS), not AXIS.
I also worked there on the primary side for a few years, and it's a nice school with a good package. I love Xiamen, it's a great place to live. However, had a serious issue with an incredibly unprofessional and bullying colleague who was lazy, incompetent and dreadful at their job too. It put a lot of strain on me and other colleagues in the area and was the major factor in me not renewing my contract for an additional year.
It was not dealt with by management until the next school year, when they were in a grade where they couldn't hide their shitty behaviour and terrible practice as a teacher, and tons of parents complained.
Other people were really nice though, and the majority of the teachers I worked with in my grade level and elsewhere in the school were fine.
The reporter explicitly corrects the school to Xiamen International School (XIS). They describe a colleague-related reason for leaving, but also say management addressed the issue the following school year and praise the school package and most colleagues.
