Shanghai High School International Division (SHSID)

I tend to disagree here. Theres two parts to the school, one is SHS (the public side which are in school all day) and the international part who finish early and 100% dont get massive amounts of homework. Students are great there.

Its been a pretty good place to work at to be honest, a lot less mafan than other places.

Any horror stories people may have 1000% theres another side to it. Ive seen some people go into a classroom and complain about their life and covid and the govt to students who are just trying to get into US universities. - darkbluedarz

All they do is homework. It’s teach to the test, homework and class work. They have no empathy. Staff get no sick days and are treated horribly. Then when you leave, they will try screw you over by any means necessary to keep your bonus. Finding meaningless infringements not to pay you. If you try transfer internally to another school, they cancel visas behind your back. It’s not a good place to work. - Mediocre-Football-51

Sorry but this isnt true, at least in the international section. Students leave at 15:50 every day. Those 6 to 7 year olds barely get given homework since everything is done within that school time. Theres an emphasis to try and not to overbear students with work at home. - darkbluedarz

That really doesn't coincide with reality. Kids are packed with homework. I've friends who still enrolled their kids there, some took them out due the insane homework pressure on small children. - poatoesmustdie
