Expat BREAKS Cruise BAN! (thanks CTrip!)
Anon: “Hi bro. Do you have idea where can we complaint someone who is creating Discrimination in China?”
Kyle: “Sure. With me ?
Anon: “? I want to complain someone in Chongqing.”
Kyle: “So typical. How did it make you feel?”
Anon: “Shameful, hurting our feelings. I went here last year, they told me face to face same things. They also said ‘this banned is temporary'”
Kyle: “Wow.. Even last, year? Oh during virus.”
Anon: “In April or May. When China has finished virus. I think in may. One year almost and still no foreigners. The reason is “epidemic.” Not only cruise, also issues in hotels
Kyle: “Thanks for sharing. Yes typical to link us with virus and use special period excuse.”
Anon: “I just don’t understand the logic behind “due to covid foreigners not allowed.” Covid don’t see foreigner or Chinese. ? Can’t I register a complaint against them and challenge them in court? I don’t know the procedure but I’m ready to fight against that brains.”
Kyle: “I think it’s possible ya.”
Anon: “Can you guide me how?”
Kyle: “Uhh. I can recommend some lawyers ?
Anon: “They are Chinese?”
Anon: “Thanks for recommendation. I’ve talk with both of them. Let’s see what they think.”
Anon: “I just talk with cruise company. They said now they allow. Passport, Green Health code, Test report. All allow.”
Kyle: “Great ? So?”
Anon: “Now they won’t refuse foreigners again.”
Kyle: “Wow. Success story! You’re a hero ?”
Anon: “Thanks for guidance.”
Anon: “I forgot to tell you, I’ve also told them to make it available online as well. And they have make it online as well. Now we can book online from 美团/ctrip normal like Chinese.”
Kyle: “Wow. Can I share your story in ExpatRights?”
Anon: “Yes sure.”
Kyle: “So you basically, convinced a cruise company to accept foreigners and allow online booking through ctrip?”
Anon: “Yes. The ctrip manager also contacted me. I’ve explained all the situation and then they informed them about “you also have to allow foreigners online booking because they are all eligible for it according to law.” Later I received email from trip.com (same company ctrip.com) that I can. Ctrip is Chinese domain of trip.com“
Anon:“But it is same for all online agencies as they informed me. We just use their suggested method. They will not refuse online bookings as well anymore.”
